The Quay Inn
Restaurant and Bar
A tranquil restaurant pub and Bed & Breakfast set in the beautiful surroundings of Dorset.
We have carefully chosen a delicious combination of local delicacies and traditional pub favourites.
The Quay Inn built in 1747 as the Shovel and the Crown until 1930 and renamed The New Inn until 1988 when renamed The Quay Inn. The Pub and its En–Suite accommodation is set on the The Quay at Wareham overlooking the river Frome were most days Boats are mooring on their Journeys from Poole Quay and people feed the Swans and Ducks and visit the Saturday morning market. We were nominated for the Top 100 Pubs in England last year. The pub offers high quality entertainment most weeks through out the year and a good selection food menu to make your mouth water. Some of what the menu has to offer is cooked on a volcanic rock in front of your eyes, and you can wash it down with high quality real local ales and beers. The Quay’s En–suite accommodation is set to a high standard with Plasma TV, DVD and free view facilities overlooking the river. Within a ten mile radius you have such attractions as Monkey World, Corfe Castle, Swanage Steam Railway, Wareham Forest, Wareham Castle and Studland Beach, only but a few interesting places to mention and not forgetting that Wareham was the home of Lawrence of Arabia.
