Two Mile Oak Inn
Traditional Pub
Famous for food a Heavitree house
We serve fresh homemade food, made by our in-house Chefs and the menu ranges.
We are a friendly traditional Devonshire Pub, on the Newton Abbot to Totnes Road, with stunning views of the moor from our Courtyard Garden. The Pub dates back to 1702, formerly a farmhouse it was then licensed in 1703. It is still sympathetic to its authentic heritage, has a wooden floor, oak beams and a cosy log fire! We serve our real ales straight from the casks behind the bar. Our restaurant is set out very traditionally with large fireplaces and log burners. A large collection of shiny brasses and original ornaments can be found amongst the open stone walling, shelves and many nooks around the pub. All this contributes to the warm and cosy ‘olde worlde’ atmosphere where you can while away an afternoon next to a crackling fire. Our restaurant is on two levels. The rear section formerly a barn, was converted in the early 1990’s. Sympathetically decorated in keeping with the lower section. The barn section can accommodate larger party’s to a maximum of 25. Our menu ranges from Steak and Kidney Suet Pudding (for which we are famous), to Steaks and Seafood Pancakes. Our daily Specials often include freshly caught dishes, such as Seabass and Whole Baked Mackerel. We can also accommodate those with a smaller appetite. We have a large car park at the rear of the building and once parked you walk through our lovely Courtyard Garden to enter the Pub.
