Set in the picturesque Cotswold village of Kelmscott our welcoming village pub is full of character
The Plough Inn is a delightful place to while away some time. The staff are warm and welcoming and the atmosphere is relaxing. Children are welcome and well catered for and Dogs are welcome too!
We are dedicated to showcasing the best locally sourced, seasonal produce on our daily-changing menu of modern British comfort cooking. Our kitchen is headed up by head chef George Tauchmann. George, who has previously worked at the highly-reputable Ellenborough Park in Cheltenham, grew up in Prague and trained under David Kelman upon moving to Britain. We have two dining rooms, with our restaurant seating 40 guests and our Hideaway seating 15 guests. The Hideaway is also available for private reservation by parties of 8 or more. The Plough is host to a cosy bar with authentic pommel horse seating and log-burning stove. We do not take reservations for these bar tables and they are available on a first-come basis. Outside, our delightful, cottage-style garden is perfect for summer dining and drinks – the log fires in the restaurant and bar roar in the winter months. Please note we are planning extensive ground works to place during the winter of 2018 & 2019 so our Garden will be unavailable at some points. Please call us for more information.
