At the heart of the village is the Church of St. Michael and All Angels, a fine church with many Norman features, dating back to the 12th century. Many other historical buildings and attractive thatched roof cottages, such as the Royal Oak, a picturesque pub in the centre of Bishop’s Cleeve, are situated in the village. 15th-century Tithe Barn now serves as the local Village Hall. A real traditional bar complete with oak paneling and timber-framed building entices visitors to sample guest ales and continental lagers and a comprehensive wine list excites the connoisseur.
