All our cakes and food are made fresh every day in our little kitchen. We love using the best quality ingredients, and we source them from local suppliers wherever we can. About us The shop is run by Alison and Emily, a mother and daughter team with a shared love of cake. Alison has been making cakes for over 30 years, and her tried and tested recipes are the foundation on which Market Place Pantry is built. She has a particular penchant for decorating, whether it be with buttercream, icing or glazed fruits and nuts! She also has mad croissant skillz. When she’s not in the shop, Alison can usually be found travelling the world or doing some form of crafting. Emily hasn’t got as much experience as Alison with baking, but she makes up for that with her enthusiasm. Her particular interests are in savoury pastries and grilled cheese sandwiches, but she also loves putting her own spin on brownies, cookies and scones. She’s currently going through a Cinnamon Swirl Phase. When she’s not in the shop, Emily can usually be found staring at mountains or with her head in a book. She doesn’t like writing about herself in the third person.
