The King’s Head is a traditional 15th Century village inn located in picturesque Aston Cantlow in the heart of Warwickshire approximately 6 miles from Stratford-upon-Avon. It is a listed building oozing with character with its original oak beams and open fires. The building and area are steeped in history including the church next door where Shakespeare’s parents married and they are rumoured to have held their Wedding Breakfast in The King’s Head. Today, the pub is lovingly run by popular chef / proprietor Brett Sandland and his dedicated team providing superb surroundings, friendly faces and a relaxed environment making this the perfect place in which to unwind and enjoy quality food and drink. There are many local walks that start and end at The King’s Head and children and well behaved dogs are welcome (dogs are allowed in the bar). We also have a lovely beer garden, centred around a huge chestnut tree, with music played in the summer months where you can eat and drink al fresco. Whether you choose to eat in our relaxing bar or comfortable restaurant you are assured quality food freshly prepared on the premises with an emphasis on using locally sourced, seasonal produce wherever possible. With light bites and sandwiches at lunchtimes to full a la carte, pub classics and daily specials available throughout the day and our summer garden menu . . . there’s something for everyone. And our Sunday roasts are not to be missed! We also offer food to take away.
