Thomas Oken Tea Rooms
A Quintessential English Tearoom
We are the quintessential English tea room serving a whole range of hot and cold refreshments.
All are served on fine bone china in a traditional setting, and where possible, produce is sourced locally or is homemade.
Set in the small historic town of Warwick, against the Castle wall, this beautiful old house was built over 500 years ago by Thomas Oken, a wealthy and philanthropic merchant and Mayor of the town. Nowadays we are a quintessential English tea rooms serving a whole range of hot and cold refreshments, including our renowned Cream Teas and Afternoon Teas, served with a choice of over 30 fine loose leaf teas. We strive to create a traditional yet friendly and quirky environment in which to enjoy our delicious fayre. We feel Thomas Oken himself would be happy with his modern-day home; we only regret he lived in the age before tea drinking was an essential daily pastime for the English! (By the way, we also love – and serve – delicious locally roasted coffee!) We have now expanded and created our sister company ‘Oken’s Kitchen’ so we are able to offer Catering, Cookery Lessons, Priviate Dining and China Hire.
