Welcome to the Black Bull, Coniston – our family owned traditional inn & hotel in the English Lake District

The Black Bull offers a whole variety of food choices so there is something to suit every taste. We offer a comprehensive general menu, and we are very proud of our Daily Specials Board, which will usually have soup, light snacks such as Eggs Benedict, Moules Mariniers, or Sauted Mushroom Rarebit to name but a few. There will also be a fresh Catch of the Day with fish delivered that morning, a hearty meat dish - and also two vegetarian dishes. Our chefs, wherever possible, use fresh locally sourced ingredients. All meats are cooked on the premises and dishes are prepared to order by hand. Meals can be eaten in our Bar area and in our adjoining Dining Room, just off the Bar from 12 noon until 9pm all day.
