Welcome to the Elm Tree Inn situated in the quaint and peaceful village of Embsay, two miles from the bustling market town of Skipton, often referred to as "the gateway to the Dales". This 17th Century Inn has always been at the centre of village life and through the ages has been a great asset to the wider community of Embsay and Eastby. Today the pub is a popular destination for walkers and tourists alike and visitors can be assured of a warm and friendly greeting at any time of the year. After enjoying one of the many local walks from our front door, relaxing at the bar in the "Tree" is one of the best rewards life can bestow on tired legs. For those who have worked up a healthy appetite, we have an extensive menu ranging from "light bites" to a locally sourced steak. Dining in the Elm Tree is a relaxed and informal experience and if desired, you can sit at your table for as long as you wish. Please see our Menu page for our up-to date selection of good old Yorkshire Fayre.
