From modest beginnings as a restaurant operator almost 20 years ago, Chutneys are today Oxford's premier restaurant of Indian foods.

Chutneys is the oldest surviving Indian restaurant in the Oxford City. A tribute perhaps, to our belief in good customer service, quality produce and the importance of a comfortable environment for our guests to appreciate the wonders served up by our kitchen. Our menus are based on the highest quality produce and fresh seasonal ingredients from all corners of South East Asia. We specialise in a large variety of dishes from the sub-continent whether they are vegetarian or non-vegetarian. We use 100% vegetarian oil, containing no cholesterol. All ingredients are carefully sourced and we never use artificial colours, flavours or preservatives. The restaurant has been the rendezvous of rich, famous, and fashionable lovers of Indian food. Customers included President of America Bill Clinton, President of Pakistan Asif Ali Zardari, Hon.Chandrika Bandaranaike Kumaratunge former Prime Minister of Sri Lanka.
