We are a small cafe brew bar located in Grantown on Spey, the capital of Strathspey. Our goal is to offer a warm and friendly welcome in a relaxing and inspiring atmosphere. We are proud to be working with some of the area’s finest artists & artisans, sharing their passion with us all. Continually updating our range, we display unique and traditional hand made products found in our community and those close by. Whether it is something special for you or a friend, we are sure you will find it here. We pride ourselves in using homemade, organic & locally sourced produce for the majority of our menu in the cafe & hope you can taste the difference. The High St Merchants cater to locals and tourists alike. The aspiration is to create a base and heart for the community where locals can meet and treat themselves to an espresso or artisan beer, homemade goodies or a light bight for lunch. Two Thirsty Men: Small batch beer brewed with passion in the Highlands of Scotland. Grantown on Spey, the gateway to the famous Malt Whiskey Trail needed its own craft brewery, a place where great beer would be crafted using the finest of ingredients & of course the same water source as many of the great drams enjoyed for hundreds of years all around the world. Our tap bar, the High St Merchants, is where we will predominantly sell our beer, brewed in 400 litre batches, it will be a true brew to bar enterprise. With our house beer ‘No74’, an amber ale and ‘Spey IPA’ a great hoppy IPA. This is where we invite you to help us in a time honoured tradition for quality control ... tasting it! We will also sell the beer in 5 litre kegs for visitors to take home or to their accommodation, to the camp sites or friends BBQ’s to enjoy. We look forward to your visit and sharing a story or two.
