At Berro we’ve managed to tuck some intimate cosy spaces amongst the clouds of lampshades floating in the atrium-like interior, and there’s plenty of outside seating for those sunnier days.

If you’re wondering about the big glove mural behind the bar, that’s a nod to Didcot’s lesser-known glove-making heritage. Should come in handy if you need a conversation starter. FOOD Everyone is welcome in a Lounge, so we look after every taste from fresh, zingy salads to massive burgers with all the trimmings. We spend a lot of time working on exciting new dishes but we’ll always be somewhere you can go for classic British food like a cracking bacon butty too. We’re proud that our gluten free and vegan menus are not second best; we take pride in making sure they are packed with plenty of interesting, satisfying dishes just like our other menus. Last, but not least, we know that if mum and dad are going to enjoy themselves, then the kids need to be happy. Our proper kids’ menu features healthy, indulgent and fun dishes too. DRINK We must say, we do rather like a drink at Loungers. From delicate herbal teas to juices, smoothies and milkshakes to fine wines and frankly ridiculous cocktails, if it’s liquid, we stock it. We pride ourselves on coffee in particular, using a high-quality house blend of Central American and Kenyan Arabica beans, which is medium-bodied, clean and fruity. A bit like us. Soft drinks include freshly squeezed juices, smoothies, milkshakes, ginger beers, iced teas and our own lemonades. Our wine list is small but beautifully formed, with whites, reds, rosés and prosecco all by the glass and bottle. We stock a good range of draught and bottled beer and cider and our cocktails include all the established classics and some particularly fiendish concoctions unique to Loungers.
